What to do at Moi University

Moi University main campus is located along the Eldoret-Ziwa road, about 35 kilometres from Eldoret town. The campus is set in a rural environment surrounded by farmland and hills. If you are used to city life, the pace will feel different.

The university also has the Eldoret West Campus (formerly Chepkoilel) and the Town Campus in Eldoret CBD. Which campus you report to depends on your course and school.

Computer labs: the School of Information Sciences and the School of Engineering have computer labs accessible to students. These are shared resources, so time slots may be limited. If you can afford it, plan to get a personal laptop by second semester.

Transport: matatus and boda-bodas connect the main campus to Eldoret town. The fare is affordable, but services can be limited late at night. If you are at the town campus, most things are within walking distance.

Safety: the campus is generally safe, and Eldoret is a relatively calm town. Standard precautions apply: do not walk alone late at night, keep your valuables secure, and be aware of your surroundings.
