Most are either not online or using generic platforms that do not handle local payment methods well. A developer in Rubavu who can visit these businesses in person and build what they need has a local client base before they even consider the Kigali job market.

Connecting to Kigali: Rubavu is roughly three to four hours from Kigali by bus. That is a longer trip than Huye or Musanze, so plan for it. Two or three Kigali trips per year for networking and events is more realistic than monthly visits. Between trips, stay active in online developer communities.
